Home Remedies for Treating Acne

If your acne is pretty mild, anyway, or if you don’t have enough money to pay for treatments, you may consider home remedies. Ingredients for home remedies are pretty colorful, considering that you will be making use of fruits, veggies, and nuts among others. It is time to raid your kitchen for your acne treatment concoction.

Juices

Different sorts of juices are recommended as acne cures. One teaspoon of lemon juice, for example, may be mixed with one teaspoon of cinnamon. The mixture will be applied on the affected area and will be washed off using warm water the morning after. This homemade concoction is supposed to cure acne.

Fresh lime juice can also be used as a facial wash when mixed with either milk or rose water. It is best to leave it on for about twenty to thirty minutes to achieve the best results. Rinse the juice using warm water.

Fresh mint juice is believed to cure not just acne but all sorts of other skin infections as well as insect bites.

The juice of raw papaya can be applied on the affected area to reduce inflammation.

Cold juices from pieces of grapes that you have just stored in the refrigerator are easy home remedies. All you have to do is get a few pieces, crush them and rub them on your face. Two to three pieces should suffice. Rinse with cold water.

Nuts

You can grind nutmeg and mix it with milk that has not been boiled. The mixture should be directly applied on the affected area to cure pimples.

Honey

Honey is another popular ingredient in several home remedies. When three tablespoons of honey is mixed with one teaspoon of cinnamon, a paste is produced that can be applied on the affected area during bedtime. In the morning, you can rinse off the paste using warm water. Two weeks of using this formula should be able to cure your pimples.

Fruits and Veggies Facial Masks and Packs

Putting on masks made of fruit or fruit peel can cure acne. You can, for example, use orange peel. Grind it with water to create a paste and then apply.

Cucumber is not only used to make your eyes feel rested and refreshed. It can also be used as a facial mask. Just grind and mix pieces of a small cucumber with a cup of oatmeal until you create a paste. The paste should be applied on your face and left for thirty minutes.

Turmeric

Mix two teaspoons of turmeric with chickpea flour plus a couple of teaspoons each of the following ingredients: almond oil and sandalwood powder. Mix with just enough water to produce a paste. This paste will be applied on affected areas and left for five to ten minutes. To remove the paste, you should rub using both palms with some added pressure from your fingers. Make sure that you rinse the paste off well with water.

Garlic

Fresh garlic may be rubbed on the affected areas to make pimples disappear. As with other home remedies, regular applications for a certain period are required.

The above are just some of the myriads of anti-acne mixtures that you can concoct in the comfort of your own kitchen. Try some out to see which ones can do wonders for your skin.
