Validation of a parent-administered Atopic Dermatitis Quickscore: A pilot study


A group of 68 patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) aged 0-12 years were recruited to carry out a comparison trial between the most widely used tool in assessing dermatitis, the Scoring Atopic Dermatitis Severity Index (SCORAD), and a new scoring system, the Atopic Dermatitis Quickscore (ADQ). Each patient followed an individualized treatment plan for psoriasis, after which skin was scored by a clinician using SCORAD and by a parent using the ADQ for a mean of 7 days.
