The association between N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and lipids, together with disease-related quality of life (QoL) was studied in 104 psoriasis patients. The Skindex29 scale was used to measure QoL and acceptance of life with psoriasis was measured with the Acceptance of Disease State scale. High low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were correlated with a lower acceptance of life with psoriasis and higher NT-proBNP levels with a lower QoL. In men, NT-proBNP was correlated with QoL. In females both LDL and total cholesterol were correlated with acceptance of life with psoriasis.
