Ustekinumab yields sustained response in phase II and III trials in plaque psoriasis

 
 

Centocor Ortho Biotech reported at the Summer Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology held in Chicago that new study findings have shown that a majority of patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who had a previous response to ustekinumab (CNTO-1275, Stelara[R]), a human monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23, sustained a clinical response for up to 3 years with continued treatment, regardless of the subjects' body weight.
