Evidence-based indicators of quality of care and guideline compliance were developed from two nationwide psoriasis care studies involving 3,620 patients. The indicators were developed by a Delphi process. Eight quality indicators were defined: a mean severity of psoriasis measured by the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) score; mean quality of life measured by Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) score; patients with severe psoriasis (PASI > 20); patients with DLQI > 10; patients previously or concurrently treated with systemics; patients with PASI > 20 previously or concurrently treated with systemics; patients who received inpatient treatment in the last 5 years; and mean number of working days lost.
