Data on the prevalence and comorbidities of juvenile psoriasis in German children in 2005 were collected from a health insurance organization and involved 33,981 patients (aged < 1-18 years) drawn from a total population of 1.3 million. The prevalence of psoriasis in 2005 was 2.5%. The overall rate of comorbidities in patients < 20 years was 14.4 vs. 7.2% in nonpsoriatic patients.
