Hidradenitis suppurativa scoring variability: Its correlation with risk factors and other measures of disease severity

 
 

A Swedish consecutive case clinical study described the interobserver reliability of the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Score (HSS) questionnaire in 61 patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Patients' height, weight and smoking status were collected as well as their Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) scores. The mean age of the patients was 41.4 years. The interobserver concordance for the HSS was high at 0.95. The median interquartile range (IQR) on the HSS for all patients was 40, with a mean of 60.5 and 39.0 for men and women, respectively.
