Children of color are a rapidly growing segment of the world population. These children have altered cutaneous, immune and healing properties as compared to Caucasian children. As a result it is important to recognize subtle nuances in the clinical presentations and tissue responses noted in this grouping. This article provides an overview of skin diseases seen commonly in children of color, and their therapies.
