Psoriasis patients’ satisfaction with topical therapy using a calcipotriol/betamethasone formulation in clinical practice

 
 

A 6-month, descriptive, international, multicenter, single-group, noninterventional study was conducted in 1,224 patients with psoriasis to evaluate their satisfaction with a calcipotriol (50 ug/g)/betamethasone dipropionate 0.05% ointment. Patients evaluated satisfaction as "very satisfied", "satisfied", "disappointed" or "very disappointed". Evaluations were made after 4 weeks of treatment and after repeated courses up to 6 months. The median duration of the first, second and third courses was 31, 31 and 27 days, respectively. The majority (73.6%; n = 1,224) of patients were "satisfied" or "very satisfied" after the first course; 78.9% (n = 247) and 80% (n = 50) were "satisfied" or "very satisfied" after the second and third courses, respectively.
