The classification of facial psoriasis based on facial lesion distribution was retrospectively investigated in 194 patients with psoriasis. Patients were classified into 3 types: peripherofacial (PF), centrofacial (CF) and mixed type (M). PF and M types were more prevalent than the CF type, and the PF type was related to a high Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) score. Early onset and extensive treatment were more frequent for CF than PF types and the relationship between facial and body psoriasis was less strong for PF patients (Woo, S.M et al. J Am Acad Dermatol 2008, 58[6]; 959-963). --> -->
