A German open-label, single-center study evaluated the efficacy of a moisturizing lotion containing coriander oil in 69 patients (mean age 37 years) with atopic dermatitis (AD). The lotion was applied b.i.d. for a mean of 15.6 days. The mean SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) index score fell from 39.1 at baseline to 14.9 at endpoint and itch improved on a visual analogue scale from 6.5 to 2.5. Overall clinical efficacy was "very good" and "good" in 62% of cases.
