Topical INCB-018424 displays safety and efficacy in patients with psoriasis

 
 

The safety, tolerability and efficacy of topical application of INCB-018424 in the treatment of psoriasis were evaluated in two recent studies. INCB-018424 is a preferential inhibitor of Janus kinase (JAK) 1 and 2, which are implicated in the pathogenesis of psoriasis by mediating signal transduction cascades of cytokines. Patients with active, stable plaque psoriasis participated in the two 28-day studies. In the first study, a double-blind assessment of INCB-018424 versus active comparators and vehicle control was performed.
