Another personal competency is self-motivation, which is understood as the emotional tendency that leads to and facilitates the achievement of goals. This skill consists of several points: drive towards achievement, our capacity to fight to obtain and/or improve a level of excellency; our capacity to make commitments, that is, our alignment and involvement in team or corporate objectives; our capacity to take an initiative, in other words, availability and promptness to act; and, lastly, optimism, which is a positive and resilient attitude towards achieving goals, in spite of the obstacles and setbacks that may occur.
