Delegating
A very important tool for you to use with your team is to delegate. A basic piece of advice is to delegate as many tasks as possible, but delegate responsibilities, not activities. Your team members may do things differently than you would, but what matters here is not that they should do it your way, but rather that they do it well. Always delegate for a reason, do not delegate for the sole sake of delegating. Clearly define the limits of the responsibility and duties that you are delegating, let the people to whom you have delegated tasks be constantly aware of what is expected of them and the limits to their authority to accomplish what they have been requested to do. If you can, avoid unauthorizing your team. Let the decisions be made at the lowest hierarchic level possible.
