Professional Development

8 - Some reflections I
Before we move on, let's take a moment to share some reflections. This may help us to better understand what we are talking about. Indeed, all of us have had experiences that showed us that overall intelligence does not ensure professional or personal success; we have all had childhood friends who, academically, were very intelligent and made excellent grades but who have not achieved the professional and personal success they had expected.Professional excellence does not depend solely on the use of the mind; it also requires a very good understanding of your own feelings and emotions and of how to make optimal use of them. Interpersonal relationships have more to do with emotional intelligence and our own intellectual capacity. Furthermore, this fact is more valid and important under circumstances in which the global situation makes us face situations where emotional intelligence gradually transforms into the key element of competitiveness.
