Meetings I
Plan your meetings and request that the other participants do so, too. If you have the authority to decide, do not hesitate to call off, adjourn or abbreviate unproductive meetings. If you do not have the authority to decide, propose the same. You will be gaining time. When you call a meeting, you should plan the agenda; when others call a meeting, request an agenda. Determine an amount of time to be spent on each item, and inform the participants. Insist that there be minutes of all meetings, and that such minutes clearly contain all conclusions and decisions reached, who is in charge of what assignment, and what are the deadlines for each assignment.
